Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born in California and was raised in the state However, she started the modeling profession in Italy. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in the TV film "Her Costly Affair'. After a very difficult transition her first film, she was offered a tiny part in the film "Starship Troopers..' It was not an easy time in her transition from modeling to acting since the models were not considered to be good actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Yet, somehow Amy was determined to keep going and transitioned to bigger roles in the end, beginning in the show 'The 1970's' and the film "Varsity Blues'". The 2005 film, a romantic comedy "Just Friends" featuring Ryan Reynolds gave her her first major role. Amy got her first recognition by the industry for her performance during the past decade. Amy continued to make big films, including the 'Crank' series opposite Jason Statham and the series "Shameless," in which she played a well loved frequent character.
