Bella Poarch

Bella Poarch, born on 9 February 1997 in the Philippines to Filipino biological parents. Her grandmother had lived in the streets for three years until she reached her age at which point she was placed into the care of a family member. Her adopted family is comprised up of one Filipino adoptive mother and a white American military veteran. She claims she along with her adopted brother as well as their mother were subjected to abuse as children until she entered the military. To move to Texas after she reached thirteen, her family resided for several months staying in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. She says the physical violence subsided within a couple of months but that she continued to suffer from the psychological abuse her father inflicted on her. Poarch enlisted in the United States Navy when she reached the age of 18. Poarch opened her TikTok account in April of 202020. She quickly rose to fame, amassing over 40 million followers within less than eight months. Her biggest success was the video she made for Millie B's hit track Soph Aspin Send. She synthesized and moved to the beat in a zoomed-out video. Poarch launched her YouTube and Twitter accounts during the time after her signing up to TikTok in order to capitalize on the growing popularity. The fame of Poarch peaked in December 2020. Two of the biggest Esports professional teams were reported to be interested in her. FaZe Clan (100 Thieves) and 100 Thieves wanted to hire her to create the content they wanted for their brand names.
